Is POVERTY really a hindrance to our success?

POVERTY — the ultimate problem in our nation — seems to be unstoppable and endless. It is the major reason why our country is not attaining its most desired progress. But wait, is poverty really the MAJOR REASON that hinders our progress? Think people.

In my opinion, poverty isn’t really a hindrance to our success but it is the LACK OF EDUCATION that hampers us. Well, most of us really think that if we don’t have money, we can’t study. Yes, this is true. That’s why our government should allot a big percent of the budget for education purposes. However, what I just said was somehow false. As far as I know, there are some schools out there which provide good teaching for low tuition fees. If you can’t go to private schools, there’s always another option —public schools. It doesn’t even matter where you study, for as long as you are studying, you are making your first step through your success. Another thing is, some have already proven that though they are “less fortunate”, they still made it through college. Why is this is so? Because they worked hard. How can we just easily say that “we can’t” if some just did it? Wake up. If they can, we all can. As the saying goes ” Kung gusto, may paraan; Kung ayaw, maraming dahilan. ” If you really want it, do it. I guess some just don’t want to study because of some dull reasons, but didn’t they know that EDUCATION is important?

There are many problems in our country, and the LACK OF EDUCATION tops the list. If you think that poverty is really our problem, I’m telling you, it’s NOT. For if most of us are uneducated, we will be jobless, we will be poor, and that’s when the word “POVERTY” enters. Hence, LACK OF EDUCATION leads to poverty. We don’t wanna be poor anymore, don’t we? So, what is left for us to do? I do believe that the YOUTH is our savior. The youth should study, and work hard. For those who are less fortunate, stand up and do something. You have to MAKE & BELIEVE — MAKE it happen & BELIEVE it will happen. Don’t worry He will always make a way for you. For those who are fortunate, do the same.  You already have the opportunity to study, don’t waste it.

And for our leaders, it is your responsibility to HELP US. Instead of spending OUR money on anything else, why not focus it on education? We kept on saying that “Education is the key to success”. It’s been a long time, but how come we haven’t succeeded yet?

After Elections, What’s Next ?

Lately, the campaign for the elections has already started. In the televisions, we often see the commercials of the candidates, whether old or new faces, they have a common gooal: to persuade the people in order to gain votes. It is not new to us that in every corner of the streets, we see banners, posters, and tarpaulins. These are nothing but strategies and techniques through which they could convince the people.

But what’s next after this?

We expect that these people will fulfill their promises. As the saying goes, “Act more, Talk less”. We don’t need those expensive advertisements and big banners. We need immediate actions for our nation’s progress. The best thing to do now is to VOTE WISELY. Think twice before you vote. We must not depend on their fame or wealth. What we need now is a good mind and a good heart. There are no rooms now for broken promises. We don’t need people who are dishonest and corrupt. We need someone who has a clean and honest leadership.

We all want what’s best for our country in order for us to progress, and wise voting is the first step through this.

” Stepping Out means Stepping In “

” To every ending, there’s always a new beginning.

Now that our Junior year has truly ended, we are entering a new chapter of our lives. From a Junior to a Senior , that’s our transformation. We’re heading on another story where everything is NEW — challenges, responsibilities, experiences , and memories. However, these are not just new, but TOUGH challenges, BIG responsibilities, WORTHWHILE experiences, and UNFORGETTABLE memories. And of course, there will always be new FAILURES, new MISTAKES, and new ACHIEVEMENTS.

And because we have stepped out of being a Junior, we’re now stepping in to being a Senior. So, let me ask, ARE YOU READY FOR THIS? If not, YOU MUST, WE MUST … be ready.

HELLO SENIOR LIFE!
